Many people ask me why I became a coach. And a related question is, “why would anyone hire a coach?” The first question is pretty easily answered and I will do that just below here. You'll find the answers to the second question under the Q&A link above.

So why did I become a coach? Well, as a business manager one of my greatest personal joys has been to mentor employees to higher levels of performance through a process of encouragement and strategic thinking. This requires that the employee (or client) sort out the important and the urgent, identify necessary actions and the challenges to taking those actions. With a clear plan in hand, the employee (or client) is able to simply follow logical steps to success. Through planning, the process is automatically made less stressful. Very few things make this happen faster or easier than having a coach.

As a mid-level field manager I also found myself learning first hand the challenges faced by busy professionals. It is my goal to help others face the latest challenges in their careers and in their lives by providing them with an outside resource that can: encourage them, expand their thinking, “un-freeze” them, help them to set realistic goals and achieve greater overall success while reducing their stress.
